Gluck Orthodontics provides emergency orthodontic care kits allowing any minor emergencies to be handled by school nurses and prevent children from missing academic classes. We also provide education in the schools regarding optimal dental health and prevention of dental caries.
Dr. Gluck and his staff make it a priority to attend numerous school events including plays and musical concerts, sporting events, art shows, and dance recitals. In addition, Dr. Gluck has supported the Julia Green Read-a-thon for many years, which includes going into the classrooms to read to and interact with the children.
Many of our patients devote a large amount of time to different organizations and projects outside of the classroom that Gluck Orthodontics is proud to support. This includes St. Jude’s, Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital, the Nashville Ballet, the Team William Mini 5K which raises money support special-needs children in learning to read , Juvenile Diabetes, and the Eating Disorder Coalition of Tennessee.
The Friends of Children’s Hospital allows members of the Middle Tennessee community to make an impact on patients and families at the hospital. Gluck Orthodontics supported the Holiday Project in which children designed and decorated holiday cards to be sold during the winter season and each purchase helps fund the Friends organization.
Established in 1994, the Interfaith Dental Clinic opened with a mission to help restore, protect, and improve the dental health of uninsured low-income, employed Middle Tennesseans. The clinic provides adults, children, and elderly persons with affordable dental care, oral disease prevention services, and education to promote optimal oral care in the metropolitan area of Nashville.
For twenty-five years, Dr. Gluck has supported the values of the Interfaith Dental Clinic through giving of his time and resources. Each year, Dr. Gluck provides his services for two worthy families in need of orthodontic treatment free of charge.
The Boulevard Bolt is a five-mile walk/run held on Thanksgiving morning in which money raised benefits a number of local Nashville charities supporting the homeless population.
For the last eight years, Gluck Orthodontics has been a corporate sponsor of the Boulevard Bolt each Thanksgiving morning. Without the support of the sponsors, the monetary means required to ensure the success of this event would not met.
With locations all over the United States, the YMCA focuses on providing all members of the community with opportunities to learn, grow, and thrive through healthy living, youth development, and social responsibility. The Run for the Hills 5K, part of the YMCA’s race series, takes place in September. The funds raised through the YMCA 2012 Race Series is able to continue to be the area’s leading nonprofit dedicated to youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.
Gluck Orthodontics has sponsored this run for the past two years, providing monetary support and dedicating time to help plan and participate in the actual event. Team Gluck, comprised of patients and friends of the practice, participated in the run and afterwards medals were given to the winners in each age group.
The West Nashville Sports League (WNSL), established in 1996, is a non-profit youth sports league which promotes athletic participation and fun, as opposed to focusing on the competitive nature of sports. With its mantra, “It’s not whether you win or lose, it’s how you play the game”, the WSNL creates an environment where youth can work on learning the fundamentals of different sports such as flag football, basketball, and baseball, while bonding with others sharing the same values.
Dr. Gluck helped create the WNSL in 1996 when there was not a non-competitive basketball league for his daughter and her friends to play in. It started with six basketball teams in one age group and has now grown to over 3,000 children ages six to twelve and offers participation in four sports. He remains a current board member and sponsor of the league.
